Olga Sashko is a newly elected Committee Member of the Ukrainian Community of Queensland Inc. Born in Ukraine and proudly calling Australia home, Olga is passionate about preservation of Ukrainian cultural heritage, raising cultural awareness, expanding educational opportunities and assistance for new migrants.
Olga has contributed to community life as a dancer with the Ukrainian folk dance ensemble Vodohrai between 2015 and 2019, promoting Ukrainian culture through performance. She also serves as a Secretary of the Australia-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce, strengthening the economic, cultural, and professional ties between the two nations.
Professionally, Olga is a Senior Lawyer with WorkCover Queensland, bringing nearly 20 years’ experience in the legal industry. She is currently completing a Master of Laws with a focus on international law, and is working to advance security and sustainability initiatives through her research.
