The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) and the Ukrainian Community of Queensland Inc (UCQ) have been greatly saddened to learn about the tragic death of another brave Australian man who has died defending Ukraine from the Russian invasion – Queensland man, Trevor Kjeldal.
The community pays respect to the bravery and courage of Mr Kjeldal, who traveled to Ukraine to join the armed forces and assist in the defence of Ukrainian people. His words “Ukraine was in trouble and they needed help, so we came and helped” display a man of great valor, morality and goodness.

The AFUO and UCQ also extend their deepest sympathies to the family of Mr Kjeldal. We are deeply sorry for their loss, and offer our condolences and prayers at this difficult and tragic time.
